Blessed Sacrament Families,

As part of our TCCBED Self-Study and Accreditation Process, we have restructured our student service program, Bulldogs for Christ. The goal of this restructuring is to ensure that students are completing their Bulldogs for Christ Service Journals with a deeper understanding of the program’s purpose: to be the hands, feet, eyes, ears, and lips of Christ.

Moving forward, there are several important changes to the program:

  • One Service Journal for the Entire Year: The Bulldogs for Christ Service Journal will now be completed throughout the school year rather than requiring a separate journal for each academic semester.
  • Spiritual Works of Mercy: The Spiritual Works of Mercy have been incorporated into the journal to help students recognize the many ways they can serve others.
  • Service Opportunities: Service projects will be promoted within the classroom, while families are encouraged to continue completing service projects at home and within the community.
  • Mass Greeters: Students in Third through Eighth Grade are still required to serve as Mass Greeters twice each semester while wearing their school uniform.
  • Bulldog Field Day: Students must complete their Bulldogs for Christ Service Journal in order to participate in our 2026/2027 Bulldog Field Day on Friday, May 21, 2027.

I invite you to review the updated Bulldogs for Christ Service Journals using the link below. You will also find the link to sign up your Third through Eighth Grade student to serve as a Mass Greeter.

Thank you for helping us continue to form our students as young men and women who See Christ. Show Christ. through their service to others.

In service to the Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament,

Michael Fierro
