Brainpower Connection

Connecting Pre-K to College

A Shared Vision of Faith and Learning

The Brainpower Connection is a circle of support, influence, and collegiality established in connection with seven different institutions, their faculties, and students, to share their brainpower.  A shared vision, shared faculties, and shared facilities help break down the walls that traditionally separate elementary schools, their high schools, and universities. Blessed Sacrament Catholic School has been a member of the Brainpower Connection since January 2019.

A Network of Support

Each Eighth Grade graduate Brainpower Connection graduate, including those from Blessed Sacrament, accepted at St. Anthony Catholic High School or Incarnate Word High School receives a $1,5000 renewable scholarship beginning in the Ninth Grade.

The University of the Incarnate Word offers exclusive scholarship opportunities for graduates of the Brainpower Connection high schools and elementary schools.

Employees of St. Anthony Catholic High School, Incarnate Word High School, and the University of the Incarnate Word are eligible for tuition discounts when enrolling their children at Blessed Sacrament Catholic School. To qualify for this discount, Brainpower Connection employees must complete Brainpower Annual Tuition Awards Application Form and return it to the School Office.

Committed to Excellence

Guided by a commitment to academic excellence, the Brainpower Connection offers a seamless transition between institutions.

Rigorous academic opportunities include a high school math partnership for Algebra I-ready Eighth Grade students and a dual-credit College Connection program, including health career pathways, on the University of the Incarnate Word campus.

Additional collaborations provide academic enrichment for students at all levels and professional development of faculty.

Rooted in Faith and Service

The annual Brainpower Mass and retreat opportunities for students and staff unite the schools as a community of faith.

Christian service and community engagement activities promote civic responsibility to serve God and neighbor.

Building Community

Brainpower Connection schools participate in special programs throughout the year that build community among the schools while celebrating their gifts and talents.

Principal's Corner

Welcome Back Bulldogs!  I hope you had an enjoyable summer and are ready to grow as we begin our 2023/2024 school year!

Our First Day of School will be on Monday, August 14, 2023.  We will have a 12:30 p.m. Dismissal with lunch and after school care being provided.  Please note that our First Day of School will be a Regular Uniform Day, not a Spirit Dress Day.

Also, we will have Mass this week on Tuesday for the Assumption of the Blessed Mother. The Regular Uniform may be worn as it is still a bit hot for shirts and ties!

Have a GREAT week!

Mr. Fierro

Principal
