Friends of Blessed Sacrament,

Over the past three years, I have spoken with parents and guardians regarding our school photographer.  While Blessed Sacrament Catholic School had a long-standing relationship with Life Touch School Photography, in recent years the quality of pictures has decreased.   In addition, the sales of pictures have decreased for a number of reasons.

At the end of the last school year, I made the decision to temporarily pause our relationship with Life Touch to explore new options and creative formats.   I thank those parents who shared with me their perspective on school photos for fall individual pictures, group photos, and graduation pictures.

I met with Tiffany-Joy Photography in June and contracted her services for our Fall Individual Pictures scheduled for Wednesday, September 1, 2021.  While the student will still take a “traditional photo” for the school’s information management system, the photographer will take a number of photos and poses. I asked Tiffany to capture the “joy” of our students.  Something that would look amazing in a home or workspace.  She has updated her website for our school:

Parents will then be given options to pick and choose what photographs to purchase if they so choose.  Blessed Sacrament does not require families to purchase photographs, but rather does provide an avenue for those who may want to purchase.

It is tradition at Blessed Sacrament that students may wear either their school uniform OR follow the established dress guidelines for fall pictures.  For your convenience, I have listed them below:

  • Button up and polo shirts,
  • Blouses and tops with modest neckline,
  • Skirts or dresses – hang to touch the top of the kneecap when seated,
  • Trousers and pants – appropriate leg width and fit,
  • Khaki pants,
  • Capri pants,
  • Dress walking shorts,
  • Comfortable and appropriate closed-toed shoes.

I have attached a informational flyer that Tiffany-Joy Photography has provided for our parents.  Please reach out directly to Tiffany-Joy Photography with any questions.

Finally, the purchase of fall pictures is 100% voluntary.

In service to the Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament,

Michael Fierro
