Blessed Sacrament Families,

As you may recall, at this year’s Back to School Nights, one of our Mission and Catholic Identity focus areas is our Bulldog B.A.R.K. Program.  Bulldogs B.A.R.K. encourages our students to Be Respectful, Act Responsibly, Remember Safety, and understand that Kindness Matters. This campus-wide program sets campus-wide behavioral expectations for students in various areas of our school including classrooms, the playground, the cafeteria, the computer lab, the library, and the gym.

While it has been incorporated into the way we enter and leave our Church on Fridays and during our weekly Time with Jesus, we would like to begin promoting Bulldogs B.A.R.K. for students who are sitting with their families, including grandparents, at our weekly school Masses.

Blessed Sacrament warmly encourages families to attend our weekly school Masses and welcomes students to sit with their loved ones. However, we kindly ask that families support us in upholding the same behavioral expectations for students sitting with them as we do for those seated with their classes.

To help all students fully participate in the beauty and reverence of the Mass, we ask that you please follow these Bulldog B.A.R.K. Expectations:

  • Remain quiet and respectful throughout the Mass, refraining from talking to siblings or classmates.
  • Stay engaged by following along with the prayers, responses, and songs.
  • Use the restroom only in case of an emergency during Mass.
  • Wait until Mass has concluded to get water.
  • Sit in a posture that reflects attentiveness and respect for the sacred celebration (e.g., sitting upright rather than lying down or leaning on others).

Thank you for helping us create a prayerful and respectful environment for everyone.

In service to the Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament,

Michael Fierro
