This week in the library we are continuing to celebrate poetry month and our love of words with Peter H. Reynolds’ beautiful picture book, The Word Collector. The younger students have enjoyed many of his stories, most notably The Dot, the inspiration behind Dot Day in September. After enjoying the story together, students became word collectors themselves, searching in old magazines for some of their favorite words and pictures, and displaying them on their own collection sheet. No doubt that these Blessed word collectors of ours will go out and find many more wonderful words to tell their stories.
