As part of our Bulldogs for Christ Service Program, students in Third Grade through Eighth Grade must serve as Mass Greeters twice each semester. Below are the Mass Greeting Information and Guidelines that have been included in our Bulldog for Christ Service Journals.
Mass Greeter Information and Guidelines
Serving as a Mass Greeter is an important ministry for our students. From the moment someone enters the church, they should be welcomed with the peace, joy, and hospitality of Jesus Christ. Thank you for helping create a warm and welcoming environment for our parish community!
- Sign up to serve as a Mass Greeter using the QR code below.
- Arrive at least 20 minutes before Mass wearing either your School Uniform or Mass Uniform.
- Check in with the Sacristan or Deacon and let them know you are there to serve.
- Stand at one of the two main entrances to the church. As parishioners arrive, open the door and greet them with a friendly welcome such as: “Welcome to Blessed Sacrament!” or “I’m glad you’re here!”
- When Mass begins, join your family and participate fully in the celebration of the Mass.
- After receiving Holy Communion, move to the church doors leading to the foyer. Pick up a stack of bulletins and, as people leave, offer them a bulletin and thank them for attending Mass.
- Before leaving, ask the Principal, Sacristan, Deacon, or Priest to sign below to verify that you have completed your service.
