The Forever Grateful Project

Blessed Sacrament Families,

This past year, a number of our traditional service projects were discontinued due to COVID-19.  While we worked hard to teach our students about the importance of service within the Catholic faith, it was difficult for us to perform campus wide service projects.  One of the projects directly affected was our annual Adopt a Sister project during Advent.

For the past number of years, Blessed Sacrament Catholic School has adopted the Sisters of the Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament in Victoria, Texas.  These beautiful individuals were responsible for administering our school in the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s.  Although not physically present on our campus, their spirit remains in our school’s classrooms, outdoor spaces, and community.

I invite you to consider participating in our Forever Grateful Project, an opportunity to provide these sisters with small tokens of gratitude.  As with our Advent Project, families select an IWBS Sister, purchase an item(s) from their wish list, wrap it, and deliver it to the School Office. We are asking that wrapped gifts be brought to the School Office on Friday, May 14, 2021.  This will allow us the opportunity to deliver them to the IWBS Convent in a safe manner.  Also, please be sure your gift is labeled with your adopted sister’s name.

Please do not hesitate to contact the School Office at (210) 824-3381 if you have any questions regarding your adopted sister.

On behalf of the IWBS Sisters, I thank you for your generosity!

In service to the Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament,

Michael Fierro
