Blessed Sacrament Catholic School will be administrating the NWEA MAP Growth to In Person Students in Third Grade through Eighth Grade between Monday, December 7, 2020 and Friday, December 18, 2020. Guided Distance Learning Students will be required to take their four MAP Growth tests in January 2021.  The School Office will reach out to those students directly to schedule their tests.

Students in Kindergarten, First Grade, and Second Grade are asked to contact their child’s homeroom teacher for specific testing dates and times.

MAP Growth measures that students know and what they are ready to learn next.  By dramatically adjusting to each student’s performance, MAP Growth creates a personalized assessment experience that accurately measures performance – whether a student performs on, above, or below grade level. Students then receive a RIT Score that explains a student’s current academic ability.

Students in Third Grade through Eighth Grade take MAP Growth tests in Science, Language, Reading and Mathematics.  Although a student cannot “pass” or “fail” their NWEA MAP Growth tests, it is strongly encouraged that they try their best so the school’s faculty can properly plan instruction.

Parents and students are encouraged to visit NWEA MAP Growth’s Practice Site to become acquainted with test content and format.
