Friends of Blessed Sacrament,

In a few short weeks, we will once again gather around the dinner table to give thanks for the many blessings we have experienced in our lives.  Time honored traditions of preparing the perfect Thanksgiving meal will be invoked with the sound of laughter and football in the background.  In the midst of this exciting time, however, we must be mindful that Christ must be the center of our celebration because it is through His unconditional love that we have been given so many blessings.

As your parish school’s principal, there are many things I am grateful for this Thanksgiving season.  I am thankful for the opportunity to work in an environment whose primary purpose is to partner with the family in helping children reach their God-given potential.  I am appreciative for a pastor, faculty, and staff who truly believe in the value of a Catholic education.  I am thankful for a parish community who truly understands the importance of supporting a parish school.  I am indebted to parents for the confidence they entrust into our school with the spiritual and academic formation of their most precious gifts.  I am grateful for the presence of the children in my life for they remain my energy, strength, and endurance in my vocation of Catholic school ministry.

I also asked our students to share what they are grateful for this Thanksgiving Season.  As you can see from the images above, even the youngest of our students have something to be thankful for this season.

I thank you for the opportunity to serve as principal of your parish school and the support you lend for our advancement.

I pray that you and your family be abundantly blessed with God’s grace.

With a grateful heart,

Michael Fierro

Principal
