This year, Blessed Sacrament Catholic School will standardized our Bulldog Science Fair slated for Thursday, November 14, 2019.  Students in Fourth Grade through Eighth Grade are required to participate.  Unlike previous years, projects are individual and may not be done in pairs or groups.  This decision was made based on feedback from students and parents at the end of last year’s science fair.

This year, students will be given deadlines for specific parts of their project.  Our hope is this will help with planning, timing and efficiency.  A student may complete assigned tasks before the due date should they choose.

Step One of the Bulldog Science Fair is to select a project question. A project’s question drives the entire project.  The question must be something that can be measured and answered using the scientific method. A project question may be used as the project title.  Project questions must be approved before moving on to Step Two.  Finally, the school may limit the number of similar topics.  Students may submit their questions using our electronic Science Fair Project Questions.  The deadline for Step One is Thursday, September 12, 2019. Entries are timestamped and will be reviewed as they are submitted.

On Friday, September 13, 2019, students will receive a letter with their approved science fair project question and timeline of due dates.  If a student wishes to change their project question after submitting the form, they are asked to speak directly with Mr. Fierro so it can be changed manually.
