On Friday, April, 12, we will have a special opportunity to proudly show our support for our Blessed Sacrament Military Families.  April is Month of the Military Child (MOMC), and we want to recognize and pay tribute to military families and their children for their daily sacrifices, commitment, courage, and unconditional support of our Armed Forces. We invite our school community to show their support for military kids and appreciation for their strength and sacrifices by wearing purple accessories–headbands, bows, ties, socks, jewelry–with their regular mass uniforms. Purple symbolizes “joint” in the military world, meaning “all services.” The goal of Purple Up! is for military youth to actually see the support in their communities and school.  Help us recognize military children’s sacrifices as they serve our nation and get your purple on!
