Dear Parents, Guardians, and Grandparents,
In recent years, Blessed Sacrament Catholic School has continued its participation in the Pre-K 4 SA Competitive Grant Program.
It is the school’s desire to develop an Early Learning vision, mission, and philosophy of core beliefs. Using a process that has been used with other grant-funded districts and schools, Blessed Sacrament can then move forward with creating a strategic plan that creates goals, strategies, and action items that advance the school’s spiritual and academic goals. This newly created vision/mission and strategic plan will also incorporate the school’s Child Development Center (CDC) providing a pathway from birth through second grade. Although primarily driven by an outside consultant or identified PK4SA staff, the school community will play an active role in the organic development of the strategic plan considering the insights of teachers, parents, and local community members.
Additionally, Blessed Sacrament Catholic School will be partnering with Bender Wells Clark Design to help reimagine our outdoor learning areas and playground to incorporate early childhood best practices.
Blessed Sacrament Catholic School will be creating an Early Learners Advisory Committee, under the supervision of the School Council, to assist me with the tasks of developing an Early Learning Vision, Mission, and Philosophy, and the imagination of the school’s outdoor learning environment. This advisory committee will be composed of any parent, guardian, or grandparent at Blessed Sacrament who truly desires to help us grow as a school community.
If you are interested in serving on our Early Learners Advisory Committee, please respond to this email. Service on this committee will work towards required Parent Service Hours for the 2022/2023 school year.
In service to the Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament,
Michael Fierro
Principal
