This week, we introduced Bulldogs BARK, our new campus-wide behavior expectations. Using the theme of our school’s mascot, students are expected to B (Be Respectful), A (Act Responsibly), R (Remember Safety), and K (Kindness Matters). We went through examples of how Bulldogs BARK around campus – Church, Classrooms, Hallways, Cafeteria, Gym, Library, and Playground. We also have campus-wide volume levels (0 to 4) to help students understand there is a time and place for different volumes.
I would invite you to consider talking with your students about the BARK system and noise levels at home too!
This initiative has been in the planning since November and has come out of discussion with parents, teachers, and students about unifying campus-wide behavior expectations for all students as we “return to normal” after 2 years of chaos.
