After School Tutoring Program

Dear Parents and Guardians,

As part of the Emergency Assistance for Non-Public Schools (EANS) Grant, I allocated funds for additional academic intervention in the areas of reading and math to take place after school.  This free tutoring program will help target specific skills for identified students to strengthen their academic foundation moving into the Second Semester of the 2022/2023 school year.

In speaking with the faculty, your student has been identified as benefiting from this after-school tutoring program.  In most cases, the tutoring will be facilitated using Catapult Academic Interventionists so that students will receive additional support using other teaching styles.

It is my hope to begin tutoring next week.  All tutoring will take place on campus between 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.  Below is the schedule for the campus:

  • 1st Grade Reading: Tuesdays and Thursdays
  • 2nd Grade Reading: Tuesdays and Thursdays
  • 4th Grade Math: Tuesdays and Wednesdays
  • 6th Grade Reading: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
  • 6th Grade Math: Tuesdays and Wednesdays
  • 7th Grade Reading: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
  • 7th Grade Math: Thursdays

If you are interested in having your student participate, please complete this After School Tutoring Program Form by Thursday, January 5, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. so that I can confirm with Catapult Learning and begin assigning classroom assignments.

If you have multiple children or a middle school student and would like clarification on what content area(s) has been recommended, please email me at michael.fierro@blessedschool.com.  I will do my best to respond as quickly as possible.

In service to the Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament,

Michael Fierro

Principal
