Friends of Blessed Sacrament,
As we approach Halloween, I wanted to provide you with two updates.
In service to the Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament,
Michael Fierro
Principal
On the day before Halloween Day (Friday, October 30, 2020), students will be able to come to school in costume so long as they follow the guidelines below:
- Masks must be worn.
- Make-up may be worn.
- Students must be able to go to the bathroom without assistance in taking off their costume
- Weapon accessories (knives, guns, swords, etc.) may not be brought to campus.
- It must be an actual costume and not looked as a “Free Dress Day”.
Students may also elect to come to school in their school uniform. We will be having Mass on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. so students will be able to come to school in costume without worry.
Students will have a simple Halloween Party on Friday, October 30, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. Homeroom teachers will be sending out a list of STORE BOUGHT items that are being solicited. Items must be sealed in their original container. Unfortunately, home-made items or things that appear to be tampered with will be returned to the student at the end of the day. Homeroom teachers will provide you with a list of items, so please work with them directly. Also, parents/guardians/grandparents will not be allowed to assist with the parties since our restriction on classroom volunteers remains in effect.
A student may bring in candy or a pre-made goody bag to share with his or her classmates that will be distributed at the end of the day. All items distributed must be store-bought. Additionally, anything that will be distributed must be brought to the Homeroom Teacher BY Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. This will give the teacher enough time to inspect items and ensure they are meeting school requirements.
