Congratulations to our Fifth Grade Students for sweeping the non-public category in the 2017 Celebrate America Essay Contest!
This annual essay contest challenges fifth graders across the country to reflect on and write about the theme “Why I Am Glad America Is a Nation of Immigrants.” A special congratulations to Ms. Gonzalez for continuing this annual tradition.
Essay winners attended a Naturalization Ceremony on April 20, 2017 at the Institute of Texan Cultures where they read their essays before a group of over 150 immigrants becoming U.S. Citizens!
